Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Elixir

Back in October of last year I picked up my first bottle of the Covergirl Healthy Elixir.   I bought it on a whim.  Foundations are kind of my weakness and I told myself I was not going to buy another (yeah, ok).  So I was standing in CVS looking at the new display have an internal debate on whether to get it or not.  I had some CVS bucks so I went for it.  And well I am glad I did.  I’ve worn it almost everyday since.  I picked up the lightest shade, 705 Ivory.  I wish they had something just a bit lighter since it does oxidize a bit throughout the day.  But that has not stopped me from wearing it.  I normally use my fingers to apply this to my face and once a while I mix it with my moisturizer to make it more of a tinted moisturizer.  This formula has Vitamins B & E and also has SPF in it.  I feel like it settles into my skin nicely and doesn’t just sit on the top of my face.  I also feel like I am wearing an extra step of skincare.  This has not broken me out and has helped my skin during this terribly dry winter.  I am now on my second bottle and still wear it everyday!  This has replaced my holy grail Tom Ford foundation.  My bank account needs to send a letter of thanks to Covergirl for that.

On another note my favorite book has been turned into a TV show!  The first episode was on last night.  I read The Alienist by Caleb Carr back when I was a senior in high school and just fell in love with the book.  If you are into crime novels and like anything set back in the early 1900’s in New York, you will love this.  The first episode was pretty good and I can’t wait to see how everything plays out.

What is your favorite foundation, high end & drugstore?
